This was the key question of the night with over 250 guests at Fat Controller Club in Adelaide on 25.8.22.

With Francesco from Fame 464 Art you were able to get speed sketches; and with Usha Hirani and Cheryl have your vacation pics taken by Holidaygrapher; Geoff Hamlyn was asking questions about product validation; with food from La Boca and bar service from Fat Controller Club – which was fantastic.
Scott Perry opened as MC and Wendy asked, could we create an opportunity for somebody to get involved in tonight’s event? Which turned out to be $50 opportunity for someone if they were prepared to answer a few questions up on stage… and the first one up on stage was Kristen Bailey.
But the $50 question turned into a money can’t buy opportunity… as during the course of tonight Kristen was given the opportunity to sit in the private area for 5-10 minutes with Eduardo Donoso. And if you are not aware as to who Eduardo is then it might be hard to make that decision.
Eduardo is an Experienced Director with a demonstrated history of working in the management consulting industry skilled in Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Construction, and Engineering. Strong professional with a BE (Ind) focused in Engineering from South Australia Institute of Technology (Uni SA).
And the decision to take the $50 or 5 mins with Eduardo was over in a flash – one shot with Eduardo was snapped up straight away. Opportunities don’t disappear because if Kristen didn’t take the opportunity, then there is always someone who will.
The good news was that there was another opportunity created that is 10 times bigger, and then Wendy introduced Greg Ratsch, Executive Manager, Business Growth and Investment Attraction at Adelaide Economic Development Agency. Leanne Hill, Employment Facilitator – Local Jobs Program – Adelaide South spoke on the massive employment opportunities in the region.
On the chat with Eduardo there was far too much to cover on the night and a timeline was created from when he arrived in Australia from Chile and gained his first job, starting work as a trades assistant.
When he started his first business, then running an engineering company with 3 people, moving forward 3 months, then 3 years later, then hitting the GFC in 2012 – which was very tough. Exiting a company to AMP for many millions of dollars is amazing and jumping forward to today Eduardo owns multiple businesses, including Fat Controller Club, and he is the chair of LASSA.
Zoe Bettison MP, Minister for Tourism and Multicultural Affairs in the South Australian Malinauskas Labor Government; Member for Ramsay spoke about opportunities in tourism and for South Australia.
Possible M Diessa from Possible Consulting is a CaLD Advocate, Career and Employment Coach, and Public Health Promoter who shared his story behind why he and the team help people into employment.
